About Fatimah

Why I'm a Strong Tutor I dedicate focused, patient attention to each student to help them overcome their individual challenges. Being close in age to many students allows me to connect more easily and understand their mindset and struggles. I emphasize consistent, smart practice—not just repetition, but meaningful exercises that build real understanding. I have a strong grasp of mathematical concepts and enjoy finding simpler ways to explain even the trickiest problems. I care about results—but more importantly, I care about building the student’s confidence and independent problem-solving skills. **also I’ll be making specialized notes which will contain tips helping you if you forget material** Math can be tough, and I get it—I’ve been there too. I’m not great at math because it’s easy for me, I’m good because I practice. I’ve gone from Ds to As, and I know that with the right support and effort, your child can do the same. What makes me different as a tutor is that I understand the struggles students face. I’ve gone through the confusion, the frustration, and the feeling of being stuck, so I know how to explain things in a way that clicks. I’m down-to-earth and ready to help in a way that feels comfortable and clear. I’m here to help your child truly understand math, not just memorize it. I can’t promise a sudden grade jump, but I can promise steady improvement for any student who’s willing to put in the work. I’ll stick with them, explain things as many times as needed, and make sure they get it.

About the lesson

For Long-Term Students (Struggling Across the Subject) Class 1: Diagnostic Assessment & Planning A full overview of the student’s current knowledge and challenges based on their specific syllabus. A personalized grading system will be used to assess proficiency in each chapter/topic. This assessment will help identify which topics require urgent attention and allow us to prioritize lessons effectively. Class 2: Concept Clarification & Strategy Development Discussion around difficult topics identified in the first class. We will explore why the student finds these areas confusing—whether it’s a conceptual gap, speed, application, or confidence. Begin breaking down these topics using different learning methods tailored to the student's style. Class 3: Targeted Practice Session One hour (or more if needed) of focused practice on a specific topic. Questions will range from basic to advanced difficulty. Special focus will be given to building confidence and accuracy. Classes 4, 5, 6, etc. (as needed) These will follow the format of Classes 2 and 3. Each session will continue reinforcing concepts, solving targeted problems, and reviewing progress. Regular mini-assessments may be included to track improvements and adjust focus. Hours and timings are flexible and will be finalized during the initial consultation. For Short-Term Students (Struggling With Specific Topics) Focused 2-Hour Sessions: Intensive dive into the specific topic(s) the student is struggling with. We will begin by identifying the exact source of confusion or difficulty. Followed by tailored explanations, examples, and guided practice. The goal is conceptual clarity and exam readiness. Extra Classes (if needed): If the issue isn’t resolved in one session, additional time can be scheduled to ensure full understanding and confidence.
