About Daniel

Hello, my name is Daniel. I'm originally from Guangdong and currently reside in Shanghai.

I consider myself an easy-going person. Thanks to my strong empathy and patience, I'm often able to take others' feelings into account when I approach tasks. As a tutor, I'm good at identifying my students' unique needs and adapting my teaching methods accordingly.

During the summer break, I worked at a tutoring center teaching biology to high school students. By the end of the course, most of my students had made noticeable improvements in their grades.

Last year (2023), I helped a relative's child with their English studies, focusing on grammar and complex sentence structures. I also helped them eliminate some typical mistakes in writing, such as using Chinese expressions in English writing.

When it comes to teaching Chinese, I have several strengths:

I am a native speaker of Chinese, and much of my experience teaching English also applies when I teach Chinese. I adopt an encouraging approach with my students, and they generally find satisfaction in both their progress and the overall learning experience.

Additionally, I have a passion for music, film, and literature, which has helped me develop strong communication skills through frequent discussions about these arts. Even when I share abstract ideas, I'm able to express myself clearly, and this clarity also reflects in my teaching.

With these strengths, I am confident in my ability to provide effective and enjoyable Chinese lessons.

About the lesson

I tailor my teaching methods to follow each student's individual needs and characteristics. So, if you book a trial lesson with me, I'll first make sure to understand your learning goals (for example, the level you aim to reach) and get to know your personal strengths. From there, I'll design lessons that are specifically catered to you.

You won't feel like the lesson content is “good, but not for me” in my classes—everything is customized to fit your needs. However, if you ever feel this way, please let me know immediately, and I'll make the necessary adjustments.
