About Sofia
I am passionate about education and I am even considering pursuing academia. I began my A levels in a new country in the middle of the covid pandemic. I was very demotivated and for some time did not think I was going to get to University. Through hard work and dedication and having the right teachers, I managed to leave a bad place and am now very happily studying Philosophy at The University of Edinburgh. I would love to help someone on their academic and personal journey. I am very passionate of languages and I am learning Italian and French myself. I hope I can share my love of languages with others and help them achieve fluency.

I know what methods work in the journey of becoming fluent in a language, given I am completely bilingual in Spanish and English. I believe I can provide the right methods of teaching that suit each student and their personality. Creating a dynamic and engaging teaching environment where my student feels comfortable proves key in instigating motivation for learning and academic success.
I find that lessons spanning one hour are the most successful, as I emphasize the importance of consistency over cramming in language learning. This approach allows us to focus on specific areas where the student may require assistance, whether it be understanding and practicing grammar or engaging in conversation practice
