About James
As someone who has grown up in French culture, I have a deep-seated passion for the language. Growing up, I loved helping my peers with their schoolwork, and people tended to come to me for help with French. This still stands true today. Anyone who wishes to learn French or improve their skills is welcome to come to me for help. I understand how difficult it can be more some to learn other languages, especially French. It can also be intimidating and overwhelming. I seek to make sure that all of my tutees are made comfortable and feel motivated to learn this beautiful language by creating a space of patience and understanding.

When it comes to teaching language, I base my teaching methods on improving speaking skills through authentic conversation in the target language. I place a focus on proper grammar and pronunciation. Finally, I believe that the teaching of language through culture is beneficial, as it allows students to connect the language to the real-world.
A typical lesson plan would begin with formal introductions in French as a way to become accustomed to speaking the language. Afterwards, we would go into reviewing what was taught the day before. Then, we would commence learning the main topic of the day. At the end, we would review what we learned with an "exit-ticket" activity.
My lessons are meant for any newcomers to the French language and those who are curious about the Francophone world. I also want to aid those who need extra help in their French studies, wherever they may be doing them.
