About Julia

I have over 9 years of experience with students ranging from the age of 8 to 22 years of age. I started tutoring other students in a wide range of subjects in high school and continued in college. I studied history and education at Smith College and then got my master's degree in history at the Sorbonne in Paris. I taught English at a school called Epitech, as well as at the Lycee Turgot in Paris. The last two years I was a history teacher at an American middle school.

About the lesson

I am a 26 years old American teacher with experience in giving English classes. I can teach conversation classes, grammar and vocabulary. For young children, I offer games, songs and small sketches. For teens, I can help with homework and talk about topics that interest them! I am a US citizen with English as my native language. I hold a bachelor's degree in history and education from Smith College in the United States, and a master's degree in French history at the Sorbonne-Paris IV. I worked one year as an English assistant at the Lycée Turgot in Paris and then two years as a 6th grade history teacher in an American middle school, Amistad Academy, in New Haven, Connecticut in the United States. I am a certified teacher in the United States, recognized by the Department of Education of the State of Connecticut. I just moved to Lyon with my French partner. I am looking to teach classes for 25 euros an hour in Lyon.

Perfect! Nous gardons un excellent souvenir de Julia. Notre fille a beaucoup progressé avec elle. Julia prépare ses cours et arrive toujours avec des idées. Elle a un très bon contact avec les enfants et les cours se passent dans la bonne humeur. Dommage que Julia ne soit plus sur Paris car nous aurions été ravis de continuer avec celle.
