About Sofia

As a Colombian in Canada, I have first-hand experience with how learning a new language can be overwhelming! I was able to identify that a one-on-one session is one of the most effective ways to improve your fluency with a language.

I have a certification in teaching Spanish as a foreign language from the Universidad Externado de Colombia since 2021. I recently graduated from college here in Canada, and I am thrilled to get to teach about my language, as I believe communication is one of the most important skills we can master in life.

Not only being understood, but actually feeling comfortable and confident speaking a second language is definitely a game changer that opens tons of opportunities!

About the lesson

My teaching methods and activities are completely personalized to my student's learning preferences! We all learn in different ways and at different paces. I will be a resource and a support for your process. I believe students learn from creating, so according to your preferences, we will study the concept and apply it immediately. We will reinforce it over the course of the lessons.
