About Fernanda
I was born in Mexico and lived there until age 18. I then attended Princeton University in the US, where I gained experience tutoring English speakers in Spanish, and Spanish speakers in English. I became so interested in teaching that I eventually enrolled in Princeton’s Teacher Preparation Program and graduated with a Certificate in Teacher Preparation in 2022. I now work at a charity in London, and continue to enjoy helping others with Spanish conversational skills (including my British fiancé!).

I start my tutoring by getting to know you and your language goals, and everything we do is tailored based on that. I have taught Spanish to both adults and children of various different levels, from beginners to advanced students.
Whether there are specific grammatical concepts that you’d like to grasp, or you’ve learned all the theory but need practice and confidence in speaking, I’d love to help!
I specialise in helping people who have finished all of Duolingo or similar apps, but still find that they struggle to keep a conversation going in real time.
I can provide references of students who have enjoyed our classes and greatly improved their conversational skills :)
