About Macarena

I am a native Spanish speaker from Argentina who has lived and studied across multiple countries, experiences that have given me a strong global perspective and deep appreciation for cultural exchange and education. I recently graduated Summa Cum Laude with a 3.98 GPA from Suffolk University with a degree in Economics and International Relations.

My international background has taught me that learning languages is not only about grammar and vocabulary, but also about building confidence, communication skills, and cross-cultural understanding. During my semester abroad in Madrid, I volunteered teaching Spanish, English, and math to children from diverse backgrounds, which strengthened my passion for education and personalized learning.

I am patient, encouraging, and adaptable, and I strive to create lessons that are engaging, supportive, and tailored to each student’s goals and learning style. Whether students are learning for school, travel, professional development, or personal growth, I aim to help them feel comfortable, motivated, and confident throughout the learning process.

About the lesson

I am a native Spanish speaker from Argentina and a fluent English speaker. I completed high school in a bilingual school in Lima, Peru, completed IGCSE and IB programs. I recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from Suffolk University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and International Relations, and I am passionate about helping students build confidence while learning languages in a supportive and personalized environment.

My teaching approach is patient, interactive and tailored to each student’s goals and learning style. I believe languages are best learned through practice and real communication, so I focus on creating engaging lessons that combine conversation, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading and writing exercises depending on the student’s level and needs.

A typical lesson may include: conversational practice to improve fluency and confidence, grammar explanations and exercises, vocabulary building through engaging videos and materials focused on traveling and engaging with new cultures, pronunciation support, reading or listening activities,
and personalized feedback and study strategies.

I adapt lessons for children and teenagers, college students,
adults, beginners through advanced learners, students preparing for exams or school coursework, and professionals looking to improve conversational or business language skills.

What sets me apart is my multicultural and international background. Having lived and studied in Argentina, Peru, Spain and the U.S., I understand the challenges of learning a new language and know how to make lessons approachable, encouraging, and effective. I aim to make students feel comfortable asking questions and progressing at their own pace while still being challenged to improve.
