About Majka

Having an international husband, my kids grew up in a bilingual family and I greatly enjoyed being a part of their learning journeys, especially guiding them towards speaking Slovak with me and my side of the family. I also find travelling incredibly enriching. This resulted in speaking 5 languages so that I could talk to the people I meet and even build meaningful relationships with them. Learning languages helps me put myself into my adult students' shoes, too. Whatever your story, I am excited to be a part of it and lead you to your Slovak goals.

About the lesson

Welcome! I offer online Slovak lessons for both children and adults. You can look forward to practical lessons, focusing on conversation and daily situations, while sneaking in grammar and new vocabulary. I also always tailor them to the student's goals and personality and ensure we're having fun. Interested? Let's first have a free 20 min chat about technicalities, my teaching style, as well as your goals and possible questions. This is followed by a 30 min trial lesson with the student (you or your child) to make sure it's a great fit before starting. This is also free of charge. Talk to you soon!

Perfect! Majka is an excellent Slovak tutor. She uses lots of visual tools to help me visualise what I’m saying which suits my learning style really well. She helps me break down words that are difficult to pronounce and also explains the grammar which I find super useful too. I would definitely recommend Majka for Slovak lessons

Perfect! Majka has been Slovak tutor for my two children for few years now. They both (10,13) absolutely love her lessons. She is very patient, tailors each lesson to what they would like to talk about but at the same time she has ongoing structure that they follow. Visiting grandparents in Slovakia is a pleasure, they both communicate much better now and want to learn more. I already recommended her to few of my friends from mixed marriages, she is great with kids.
