About Polina
I am a native Russian speaker with tutoring experience from my university years and extensive experience in public speaking and professional communication. I have a technical degree and currently work in business analytics, which gives me a strong understanding of professional and academic environments.
My lessons are practical, personalized and focused on helping students use Russian confidently in real-life communication. I can also help students develop business Russian and Russian for academic purposes, including professional vocabulary, discussing complex topics and communicating clearly in a work or study environment.
I believe that a comfortable atmosphere and meaningful conversation are essential for making steady progress. My goal is not only to help you speak correctly, but also to help you feel confident expressing your ideas in Russian.

My teaching approach
In most cases, I don't use a textbook during lessons. Instead, I focus on listening and reading through authentic materials, followed by a discussion of the topic. This allows you to develop your comprehension skills while actively using new vocabulary and grammar in conversation. During the discussion, I gently correct mistakes and explain how to express ideas more naturally in Russian.
Personalised lessons
Each student has an individual programme based on their goals and interests. We can work with general Russian topics or focus on specific areas that are relevant to you, such as work, study, travel, culture or everyday communication.
Who my lessons are for
I mainly work with students from approximately A2+ level and above who want to deepen their existing knowledge and become more confident in Russian.
