About Yousef
I’m Yousef, a native Arabic speaker from Palestine, now based in Watford. I hold a BA in Journalism from the University of Westminster and have a strong background in language, communication and storytelling.
I enjoy teaching Arabic because language is more than grammar and vocabulary. It is also culture, humour, expressions and the way people communicate in everyday life.
I specialise in Palestinian and Levantine Arabic and enjoy helping students develop the confidence to have real conversations. For students who are interested, lessons can also explore Palestinian expressions, traditions and culture.
I teach with patience and respect and welcome students from all backgrounds and beliefs. My aim is to make Arabic practical, enjoyable and something you feel confident actually using.

My lessons focus on practical Arabic that you can actually use. I teach Palestinian and Levantine Arabic with a strong emphasis on speaking, listening, pronunciation and everyday vocabulary, while also developing reading and writing skills.
Lessons are adapted to each student’s level and goals, whether you are a complete beginner, improving your conversational Arabic, learning for travel or family, or reconnecting with your Arabic heritage.
My approach is language-first and culturally grounded. Students of all backgrounds and beliefs are welcome. Religious or Islamic studies can be included if requested, but they are optional and separate from the core language programme.
I aim to make Arabic relaxed, practical and enjoyable, with Palestinian culture and everyday life naturally incorporated into the learning experience.
