About Yi Jiun
Hi, I’m Yi-Jiun, a native Mandarin speaker from Taiwan. Ever since I was a child, I’ve dreamed of becoming a teacher. There’s something incredibly rewarding about helping others learn, especially when I see their progress and the joy that comes with it. Teaching is not just about passing on knowledge, it’s about making a positive impact, connecting with others, and seeing them grow.
Throughout my life, I’ve always enjoyed sharing my skills with others. Whether it’s teaching friends or helping family members, I find great satisfaction in seeing someone succeed with something new they’ve learned. Watching a student’s confidence grow as they start using the language in real situations is one of the most fulfilling parts of being a teacher for me. I’ve also had the opportunity to volunteer and teach kids by guiding them through creative activities, like making fun crafts. Watching them learn through these activities was incredibly rewarding. It made me realise how much I enjoy making learning enjoyable and meaningful.
As a Mandarin tutor, I want to bring that passion to my lessons. I aim to create a friendly, supportive environment where you feel comfortable learning and making mistakes. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to improve your skills, my approach is designed to make learning Mandarin a fun, rewarding experience.
