I am a native Mandarin speaker and currently a PhD student in the UK. I hold an MA from the UNSW, Australia, and a BA from the UoM, UK. I am familiar with both Chinese and English education systems.

About Christina
I am a native Mandarin Chinese speaker and currently a PhD student in the UK. I hold a Master’s degree from the University of New South Wales (Australia) and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Manchester.
I have teaching assistant and tutoring experience at both Chinese and international universities, which has given me experience working with students from diverse academic and cultural backgrounds.
I provide structured and professional Mandarin lessons for learners of all levels, from complete beginners to advanced students. I follow recognised Chinese teaching materials or adapt fully to the student’s own curriculum and goals. My teaching is organised, clear, and focused on measurable progress in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
My aim is to create a supportive and effective learning environment that helps students build confidence and achieve real progress in Mandarin Chinese.

Mandarin
I use a communicative, student-centred approach, combining structured practice with real-life application. I follow standard Chinese textbooks where appropriate, and I can also adapt fully to the student’s own materials or curriculum requirements.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes and can be adjusted based on learner needs. I teach Mandarin across all levels, from complete beginners to advanced learners, including academic and conversational purposes.
My lessons are suitable for learners of all ages and backgrounds who want structured, flexible, and goal-oriented Mandarin learning.
