About Sofiia

My name is Sofiia, and Spanish has been a major part of my life for over 9 years. I grew up and lived in Spain, where I completed my secondary education, high school and first university degree, and I also worked there for three years.

I have a strong academic background in Spanish language and literature, achieving 9.5/10 in the Spanish A-level equivalent examination in Spain. My years of living and studying in Spain have given me a deep understanding of the language, culture and education system, as well as the confidence to communicate naturally in Spanish.

I am passionate about languages and enjoy sharing my knowledge with others. I am patient, friendly and organised, and I believe that students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.

I can support students with different learning goals, from developing their first Spanish vocabulary to preparing for important examinations or becoming confident using Spanish in professional situations.

My aim is to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students can build their knowledge, improve their confidence and develop Spanish skills that they can use in real life.

About the lesson

My lessons are personalised, practical and adapted to each student's individual goals. Whether you are learning Spanish from scratch, preparing for GCSE or A-level exams, improving your conversational skills, or need Spanish for professional situations, we will focus on what is most useful for you.

For beginners and younger learners, lessons can include essential vocabulary, pronunciation, everyday expressions, basic grammar and simple conversations. For GCSE and A-level students, I can focus on exam preparation, grammar, vocabulary, speaking, writing, reading, listening and literature, depending on the student's needs.

For adults and professionals, lessons can be tailored towards real-life communication, travel, workplace Spanish, meetings, presentations, or communicating with Spanish-speaking clients and colleagues.

I use a combination of clear explanations, conversation practice, vocabulary building, grammar exercises, reading and listening activities, and real-life examples. I aim to make lessons engaging and practical, while giving students a clear understanding of how and why the language works.

Lessons normally last 45–50 minutes. Sessions of up to one hour, or longer when appropriate, can also be arranged.

My lessons are suitable for children, teenagers and adults at different levels, from complete beginners to advanced learners. Each lesson will be adapted to your current ability, objectives and preferred pace of learning.
