About Ken

I am a bilingual Japanese university student currently studying in New Zealand, with experience living and studying in multicultural environments. I understand that every student learns differently, so I aim to create lessons that are patient, encouraging, and tailored to individual goals and learning styles.

As someone who has personally experienced learning and communicating across cultures, I can relate to the challenges students may face when learning a new language or adapting to academic expectations. I focus on building confidence and creating a positive environment while keeping lessons practical, engaging, and supportive.

I can help students with Japanese language learning, conversational practice, beginner to intermediate English support, essay writing, and academic skills. My lessons are suitable for high school students, university students, and adult learners who want a relaxed but professional learning environment.

I value clear communication, reliability, and creating a comfortable atmosphere where students feel confident asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process.

About the lesson

I take a supportive and flexible approach to tutoring, adapting lessons to each student’s goals, confidence level, and learning style. As someone who has studied in both Japanese and New Zealand educational environments, I understand the challenges of learning languages and academic skills in a second-language setting.

My lessons are usually 30 minutes long and focus on creating a comfortable and engaging atmosphere where students feel confident asking questions. Depending on the student’s needs, lessons may include conversation practice, grammar support, pronunciation, essay writing, reading comprehension, or help with school assignments.

I am currently a university student in New Zealand with experience communicating in multicultural environments and supporting others with Japanese and English learning informally. I especially enjoy helping beginners and students who may feel nervous or lack confidence.

My lessons are suitable for beginners to intermediate learners, including high school students, university students, and adults interested in learning Japanese, improving conversational English, or receiving academic support.
