The complexity and the beauty of the Greek language is hard to be understood not until it gets mastered. With its rich vocabulary and its grammar it has reformed the structure of many other European languages. Don't just learn how to speak Greek, learn how to think Greek!

About the lesson

I am a native Greek speaker from Thessaloniki, Greece. My passion in languages made me follow linguistic studies. I teach Greek in Greek, English and Dutch.

Every course is adjusted to the level of knowledge of the student. We start with the basics and we end up with the semantics and the grammatically mistaken but generally accepted words and phrases of the modern Greek language. It is one thing to learn just the rules and something totally different the use of the language. In all aspects of life, the Greek language is used in different ways by the modern Greek society. The evolution of Greek throughout the last decades has proven the dynamic hidden in its - time distant but so context close - ancient ancestor, combined with timeless instinct to survive, evolve and to remain alive and inspiring for centuries.

Such a language can be well learnt when focused on "how", "why" and "when" words and rules got evolved, words got transformed and basically when there is a pure understanding of all the common grammatical mistakes the average Greek makes.Mistakes that are changing the formal language of today and tomorrow.

My teaching methode includes sessions where all aspects of the language can be taught and explained. The lessons are adjusted to all levels and ages. The motivation and the purpose behind learning a language is the most important principal for a student to learn a language. Greek is not just the grammar, nor the vocabulary. It is mostly the use of the language, the true understanding of syntaxis and of course the distinction between the official language someone may found in the books and the common language spoken today. Step by step we can work together and from the basics we can reach a more advanced and complete knowledge of Greek. Grammar and vocabulary are equally important with the use of the language taught by interactive tests, videos and quizes, that we will go through together.
