About Nancy
Mein Name ist Nancy (my name is Nancy) and I am a German language professor at several universities in Southern California. Prior to that I have been teaching all ages at private and public schools as well as language academies. I have taught hundreds of students online and on campus over the years and had the joy of seeing them not only thrive and succeed in their German language skills but I have witnessed them having fun and venturing out to travel, live, study and work in German speaking countries, all while confidently speaking (often accent free) German. A little bit about me: I was born and raised in Hamburg (second largest and most beautiful city in Germany:) and while my mother is German, my father was a second language German speaker himself who became fluent by immersing himself in the language and culture. As a linguist, I am passionate about the German language and have been teaching German learners (of all ages) for the past 15 years. My classes are designed to take any fear out of speaking and my goal is to boost your confidence and joy in applying what you are learning.
