About Alina

I'm from Germany and also grew up and went to school there. I have been living in Scotland for around 4 years now.
I started out with teaching German through volunteering on a programme for which I preprared a 10 week course with the earnings going towards a charity. From then on I have expanded the material beyond 10 weeks and have continued teaching!

About the lesson

As a native German speaker with experience in teaching German I am able to teach at a variety of different levels. I like to prioritise the understanding of grammar and patterns within the language, as this is the part that is particulary tricky to learn by yourself without a tutor, and at the same time what allows you to actually learn and use the language, rather than memorising only certain phrases.

My teaching style and material is particularly suitable for those starting out, so either complete beginners or beginners with limited experience, so if that sounds like you, I am happy to take on your request.

I recommend learning as either a 5-, 10-, 20- or 30- week programme, depending on how much you're enjoying learning the language! I am also happy to adapt the programme and materials depending on your personal requests, level, and, interests.

I create the material that I use to teach myself, and I am able to send you anything we've went through on request , so you can keep the material for your own records and you're able to refresh your memory on the content at any time.
