About Louise
I am a native French (Parisian) Translator and Writer. I have lived in London for 20 years, and I first came here to work as a French Language Assistant in a primary school. I have had more in-classroom experience since, but I decided to go freelance as it suits my other activities and childcare requirements better. Most of my work is as an English to French translator, and I can certainly teach translation methods as well to the more advanced students who wish it, as well as writing creatively in French.
When I am not teaching or writing, I spend my free time reading, going to the movies, playing and translating video games, and doing photography.
I hold an MA in translation and Interpreting.

I will tailor the lessons based on the needs and interests of the student, adult or child. Am also happy to teach SEN children (having SEN children myself, this is something I am familiar with). I am convinced that you can only learn a language by immersion and, when possible, the whole lesson will be in French. The approach can be as informal or formal as the student requires (i.e. conversational or more grammatical/syntax focused). It is impossible to truly learn a language without being engaged and enjoying it, so I will tailor the lesson to the student's centre of interests as much as is possible.
