About Souroure

Born and raised in France, I am a native French speaker with an academic background in literature, and I have been living in Montreal for over ten years. This vibrant, multicultural city has strengthened my passion for languages, cultural exchange, and connection between people.
I have always believed that learning a language is about much more than grammar rules. It is about opening doors to new ways of thinking and experiencing the world. Teaching French feels like a natural extension of that belief, a chance to share not just a language, but a culture and a perspective. I bring genuine enthusiasm and care to every lesson, and my students' progress is what drives me!

About the lesson

With experience teaching in secondary education and as a private tutor for non-francophone learners, I bring a flexible, student-centered approach to every lesson. I believe that no two learners are the same, which is why I tailor each session to your specific needs, goals, and learning style. Whether you are a visual learner who benefits from written exercises and structured grammar explanations, or an auditory learner who thrives through conversation and listening practice, I adapt my teaching accordingly.
A typical lesson might combine a short grammar focus, a conversation exercise based on topics that matter to you, and practical writing or comprehension work, but the balance always depends on what you need most that day. Progress and confidence go hand in hand in my lessons.
