About Justine

I have been teaching for 3 years. I started giving French lessons in London in September 2019. In 2015, as I was on a year abroad in the UK, I helped my French teacher to train pupils for the GCSE exam. I am DBS certified.

This year, I have been doing one-to-one tutoring to prepare a pupil for the GCSE in French. In his last exam, my pupil obtained an A.

Between 2017 and 2019, I was giving weekly two-hour English lessons to a group of 4 children aged from 6 to 10. I adopted a playful approach through games and activities and I focused on speaking and participation. I was also tutoring an older pupil who was at Lycée (the equivalent of sixth form in France). My tasks consisted in helping him with his homework and his academic writing in English. My pupil obtained 16/20 in English in Baccalauréat (equivalent to A in the UK). During those two years, he really improved his English and most of his gaps in the subject were covered.

About the lesson

I am a patient, attentive and enthusiastic tutor who likes to focus on each pupil's difficulties. I usually test my pupil's knowledge in the first lesson to identify their strengths and weaknesses and adapt the lesson to their own needs.
I like to do a lot of practice because I believe that it is key for improvement in the long term. I usually work a lot on listening and speaking too because these areas are easier to cover with one-to-one tutoring.
