About Loic

I am a 24-year-old current university student with a year and a half left of my Bachelor of Communications degree at UTS. I am also a manager at a pub, so I am very confident and great with people!

I am very worldly and have lived abroad nearly half my life. I regularly travel back to France, as my mother and her side of the family still live there.

I am super easy-going and just an overall down-to-earth bloke. I have a lot of work experience, whether that be in hospitality, teaching, or after-school care. I am also very adaptable and understanding.

About the lesson

I believe the fastest way to learn a language is to start using it in real conversations from the beginning. My lessons combine speaking, listening, grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation in practical and engaging ways, helping students build confidence while developing a strong foundation in French.

My teaching approach is tailored to each student's goals, whether that's improving school results, preparing for travel, or becoming fluent in everyday conversation.

Lessons typically include:

- Conversational practice to build confidence and fluency
- Clear explanations of grammar and sentence structure
- Pronunciation coaching from a native French speaker
- Vocabulary building through real-life situations
- Listening and comprehension exercises

I help students understand how French is naturally spoken, NO teaching to memorize!

Most lessons are 45-60 minutes, which provides enough time to cover new material, practice speaking, and review previous concepts.

In terms of qualifications for teaching, I do not have any. French is my first language, and I have lived in Sydney for the past 15 years. This gives me a unique understanding of both French language and culture, as well as the challenges English speakers commonly face when learning French.

My experience helping students improve their French has taught me how to adapt lessons to different learning styles, abilities, and goals. Being bilingual and immersed in both cultures allows me to explain French concepts in a way that is easy for English-speaking students to understand.
