About Molly

Welcome to my profile! My name is Molly, I am almost 20 years old and currently studying medicine at the University of Manchester (UK).

I have completed my French scientific baccalaureate, European section (biology in English) at the Lycée Saint Jean Hulst in Versailles, when I was 14 years old. With Highest Honours in my pocket, I decided to move to the Great White North, Canada. I completed a degree in biomedical sciences with a minor in law. As to medical school, 1 year down and 4 to go...

I've been tutoring French, English, and sciences for more than 5 years. The opportunity to teach students of all ages and levels has taught me so much more than I could express!

I was part of the University's tutoring team in Ottawa, allowing me to further my training and better meet your needs. I specialized in "student-centered teaching", meaning always putting your needs and learning preferences first. The application of such strategies has been very useful to me in helping many students with varying knowledge achieve their goals. My experience with students from eclectic origins will allow me to individualize your learning. I have taught students from complete beginners to advanced levels and will make sure you progress quickly and steadily towards your objectives.

Having been an editorial secretary for a newspaper, I was able to perfect my mastery of the beautiful French language and my abilities in correction and editing. The position also gave me the opportunity to train journalists, editors, and proofreaders on certain grammatical points, as well as on a case-by-case basis when necessary.

My experience as an academic editorial advisor will make me very useful for the organization of your academic work, your referencing, and against plagiarism!

About the lesson

The most important thing for me is, firstly, to determine your needs, knowledge, strengths, and weaknesses, through an initial discussion which will allow me to find the best way to help you.

We will establish thereafter the curriculum best suited to you, depending on the deadlines you have to meet and your preferences. The training I have received on the different types of learning allows me to adapt my methods to you.

My experience in teaching French ranges from private lessons to training journalists. I, therefore, like to base my teaching methods on the objective of the lesson as well as on the individualities of each student. Some students, for example, will need to learn the basics of grammar, vocabulary, and conjugation, while for others it will just be a matter of fine-tuning their writing style and pronunciation.
