About Fabienne

I'm a native French speaker who grew up in France until the age of 15, giving me a deep understanding of both the language and the culture. I began learning French from the age of five and have since continued to develop my knowledge through both my education and teaching experience.

I hold a degree in French and Business, and as part of my studies I spent a year abroad living in Paris. This allowed me to further immerse myself in the language while gaining a greater appreciation of French culture, history and everyday life.

For the past seven years, I've been tutoring students, from early secondary school through to university level. One of the most rewarding parts of tutoring is seeing students grow in confidence and realise that learning a language doesn't have to be intimidating. Whether your goal is to achieve top exam results, improve your speaking skills or simply enjoy learning French, I'm committed to creating a supportive and encouraging environment where you can thrive.

I understand that every student is different which makes teaching so much more interesting. My aim is not only to help you succeed academically, but also to help you develop a genuine confidence and enjoyment of the French language.

About the lesson

Everyone learns differently, so lessons are adapted to the individual. I begin by understanding your goals, whether that's improving confidence, preparing for GCSEs or A-Levels, succeeding at university, or simply becoming more fluent in French.

My lessons are interactive, with a strong focus on developing grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation - foundations of confident French communication. Whilst also building confidence in speaking and pronunciation through regular conversation. For students preparing for exams, I incorporate past papers, exam techniques and targeted practice to ensure they feel fully prepared.

As a native French speaker and a French & Business graduate, I combine my language expertise with over seven years of tutoring experience. I have worked with students aged 10 and above, from beginners (early school learners) through to university level. Lessons typically last one hour, although longer sessions can be arranged for intensive exam preparation or specific learning goals.

I primarily teach online, but in-person lessons in London can be arranged. My biggest goal is to create a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes with no judgement. This is such an essential part of learning any language.

Whether you're looking to boost your grades or strengthen your conversational French, my aim is to help you make steady progress while enjoying the process.
