About Mathilde

I am a native French educator. I currently hold a BAFA certificate which entitles me to work as a counselor in camps and schools in France. I am also currently attending the BAFD course, which is the French certificate to work as a fully qualified after-school time manager. I have a degree in philosophy which I completed in La Sorbonne University in 2013. I originate from Paris but I regularly travel in France or abroad at work. I am used to work in English immersion programs with international co-workers. I currently spend the summer working in the UK as the manager of a language school. In September 2018, I will start a French course online. It is called the DAEFLE and it is the equivalent of English CELTA / DELTA certificate. It is delivered by the official Alliance Francaise.

About the lesson

I have a great adaptability and I have the ability to form pedagogical projects and lesson plans in French or in English. I am able to teach English native students. I always encourage and support to get them involved in the design of the lesson plans. I put the emphasis on positive communication. I want to lead the students with a controlled but stress-free approach. I know different tools and methods of French immersion such as lead by example or non-speaking communication. I like my students to feel that we work as a team and that their opinions matter.
