About Josh

I am a native English speaker born in Central England, with a clear and easy-to-understand accent. I bring a professional, supportive, and approachable teaching style to every lesson, focusing on helping students feel confident and comfortable using English from the very beginning. My background includes service in the military, which developed my strong communication skills, reliability, and structured approach to learning. I am also a qualified physiotherapist, with extensive experience working one-to-one with people of all ages and abilities. This has taught me the importance of patience, encouragement, and adapting explanations to suit each individual. I am passionate about helping students improve their English in a positive and motivating environment, where learning feels natural, enjoyable, and effective.

About the lesson

I believe the best learning happens in a relaxed, friendly, and encouraging environment. My lessons are fun, engaging, and student-centered, where there are no silly questions and mistakes are seen as part of the learning process. I focus on building confidence first, because when students feel comfortable and supported, they learn faster and retain more. Lessons are tailored to each student's goals, level, and interests, with a clear structure but plenty of flexibility. Whether you want to improve conversation skills, pronunciation, or overall fluency, I adapt my teaching style to suit you. My aim is to create a positive space where students feel motivated, understood, and excited to use English.
