About Stacia
Hello, my name is Stacia. I too have been in your shoes as a foreign language student. I studied the Italian language throughout my time in college. My favorite part of this journey were my conversation hours hosted by my Italian professor, during which we talked about everyday concepts, free of the structural limits of a traditional language class. These conversation hours helped me improve my skills overall faster than if I had just attended my normal classes. I actually had the opportunity to speak about everyday concepts, improved my listening skills, and got personal, immediate feedback from my professor. My goal is to help students who are studying the English language the same way that my professor helped and encouraged me. I love to help students overcome their fears about speaking in their target language, and inspire them to feel comfortable listening to and responding to conversational English.

These lessons are for English learners of every level. Sessions will be structured as a “conversation hour”- students can expect to engage in a 1:1 conversation about any topic, however, new prompt questions can be provided each session. Feedback will be given on pronunciation, word choice, etc… throughout the conversation. These lessons are for anyone wanting to practice their English speaking in a non-judgmental and stress-free environment. These are not structured grammar lessons, although concepts can be explained as needed. These classes are best as a supplement to a traditional English course, or as a refresher for students who have studied English in the past.
