About Ehan

I'm a native British English speaker currently studying towards my A-Levels in China. Alongside my own studies, I've spent real effort learning Mandarin to HSK5 level, which has genuinely changed how I think about teaching — I know firsthand how frustrating it is when something isn't explained clearly, and I try to give students the explanations I wish I'd had.
I'm patient, direct when it counts, and genuinely enjoy helping people get past the specific things that trip them up — whether that's a pronunciation habit, exam nerves, or just building confidence to speak more freely. I adapt lessons to what each student actually needs rather than running a fixed script.

About the lesson

As a native British English speaker, I focus on practical, confident communication — whether that's exam technique for IELTS, refining pronunciation for accent reduction, or general conversational fluency. Rather than just drilling grammar rules, I work on how English is actually spoken day-to-day, including natural rhythm, intonation, and the specific patterns examiners or listeners pick up on.
Each lesson includes around 10 minutes of open conversation practice specifically focused on pronunciation, alongside the main lesson content — a low-pressure way to build natural speaking habits rather than just studying rules in isolation.
Having learned a second language myself to a high level (HSK5 in Mandarin), I understand what it's like to be on the other side of language learning — which helps me explain English in a way that actually makes sense to non-native speakers, rather than assuming things that come naturally to native speakers.
Lessons typically run 40 minutes and suit intermediate to advanced learners: from students preparing for IELTS or reducing their accent for professional/academic settings, to anyone wanting to build general spoken confidence in British English.
