About Me
I’m a friendly and supportive native English speaker with a passion for helping adults feel confident and comfortable using English in real life.
Before becoming an educator, I worked for many years as both a paramedic and a social worker in mental health, where clear communication was essential. These experiences continue to shape my teaching style—I’m patient, empathetic, and focused on real-world language that truly matters.
I’ve also worked in foundational literacy, supporting students as they learn English from the very beginning. I love helping learners build skills step by step and gain the confidence they need to succeed and thrive in a new country. Seeing that growth is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.
As a teacher, I specialize in helping students move beyond “studying English” and start using it naturally in conversation. I focus especially on speaking, listening, and pronunciation, helping learners sound clearer, more natural, and more confident in both everyday and professional situations.
My teaching style is relaxed, supportive, and highly personalized. I believe learning should feel comfortable and even fun—I like to use humor in my lessons and create an environment where we can laugh, learn, and not take mistakes too seriously. Making mistakes is a natural (and important!) part of learning.
I truly enjoy getting to know my students and helping them reach their goals—whether that’s succeeding at work, communicating more easily in daily life, or feeling at home in an English-speaking environment.
