About John

I'm John, a native English speaker from the US with over 11 years of professional experience in business operations, customer experience, and process design at high-growth tech companies including Robinhood, Gusto, and Culture Amp. I currently work as a Business Process Design Consultant at a US-based management consulting firm, where clear and effective communication is at the core of everything I do.

Throughout my career I've coached teams, guided non-native English speakers through complex professional environments, and consistently translated difficult concepts into language that lands. That experience is what I bring into every tutoring session.

I'm based in Rome, Georgia and offer lessons exclusively online via video call. I'm patient, direct, and genuinely invested in helping every student I work with make real, noticeable progress. No slides, no rigid curriculum, just focused conversation with real-time feedback on the things that actually matter — phrasing, fluency, word choice, and confidence.

I pay close attention to the patterns that trip people up most and address them directly without breaking the flow or making you feel self-conscious. By the end of every session you leave with something concrete — a phrase that clicks, a habit corrected, or simply the feeling that you're more comfortable than you were an hour ago.

What sets me apart is 11+ years of real professional experience at companies like Robinhood, Gusto, and Culture Amp, combined with my current work as a Business Process Design Consultant. The English I teach is the kind that gets used in boardrooms, interviews, and everyday professional life — not textbooks.
