About Eve

Hello, my name is Eve and I am a native English speaker from England. I studied English at an A level grade for 2 years prior to becoming a TEFL certified tutor. I have been teaching English professionally for around a year and a half now, to students of different age groups including children, teenagers and adults. Previously, I taught the English language to children face to face.

I am currently a Ukrainian refugee English Tutor, and have been doing so the past 4 months. I have 2 students who have both reviewed me as an excellent tutor, especially in grammar.

This last year and a half of teaching English has been based around a commitment to constructing positive and productive learning environments. Apart from teaching everyday language to my students, I have also helped them expand their vocabulary, grammar and writing skills used for their jobs or school.

I am currently travelling the world, riding my bike. Subsequently, I understand how tricky it can be to immerse yourself in a country that speak an entirely different language to you, and how difficult it can be to communicate with the natives. With this experience, I have learnt to create a fun and safe environment for you to learn how to speak to the natives with ease.

About the lesson

I believe that a student-centred learning approach is vital. My teaching methodology is based around your learning; I prioritise you and the techniques in which you retain the English language best.

Some of the methods involved in my lessons include:
- exercises
- visual aids (learning through diagrams/pictures)
- a variety fun games
- repetition
- topical conversation
- posters etc.

Furthermore, I am able to assist you with:
- conversational English
- IELTS or exam preparation
- British English for you or your child
- writing, along with spelling
- grammar and vocabulary
- reading and listening etc.
