Learn Mandarin with a Native Speaker – Supportive, Professional, and Tailored to You Hello! My name is WEI GUO, and I’m a native Chinese speaker based in Brisbane. I’m passionate about helping students of all ages and levels learn Mandarin in a clear, engaging, and practical way. Whether you're a complete beginner, a school student, or someone preparing for a trip to China, I will guide you step by step with patience and encouragement. My lessons are structured but flexible – I adapt my teaching style to suit your pace, goals, and learning style. We’ll focus on pronunciation, everyday vocabulary, useful grammar, and real conversations. I also include cultural tips to help you understand how Mandarin is used in daily life. Each lesson is typically 60 minutes and can be held in person (in Brisbane) or online. I’m reliable, well-prepared, and always focused on helping you improve. Learning a new language can feel challenging, but with the right support, it becomes fun and rewarding. I look forward to helping you build confidence and fluency in Mandarin!

About the lesson

As a native Chinese speaker from China, I bring both cultural and linguistic authenticity to every lesson. My teaching style is patient, friendly, and tailored to each student’s goals and level. I focus on building a strong foundation in pronunciation (pinyin), vocabulary, and grammar, while also encouraging real-life conversation and cultural understanding.

I use interactive methods such as role-plays, visual aids, and everyday scenarios to help students speak confidently and naturally. Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to improve your fluency, I will create a customized learning plan for you.

Lessons are typically 60 minutes long and can be held in-person in Brisbane or online via Zoom. I teach all ages – from kids to adults – and all levels, including absolute beginners, travelers, students preparing for HSK, or those simply interested in Chinese culture and language.

No matter your goal – speaking, reading, writing, or listening – I’m here to support your Chinese learning journey with enthusiasm and care!
