About Maximilian

I was born in Brazil with itchy feet and a family legacy of learning and teaching foreign languages. My number one rule when it comes to teaching is to ensure that my students are emotionally connected with the language. So if you like music, we may use Brazilian MPB as a backdrop to our grammar classes. If what makes you tick is travelling, we'll explore Brazil's wide array of popular and off the beaten path destinations while learning verb tenses. And if you're getting married to a Brazilian, we may plan the wedding while learning vocabulary! The bottom line is, our classes won't be just about following a text book and doing endless grammar drills. They'll be about connecting you with Brazilians and Brazil in a way that is meaningful to you and your needs. The

After having spent the better part of two decades teaching, travelling and living around the world (U.S., Europe and the U.K.), I feel confident to say I know what it takes to guide someone who´s decided to navigate the beautiful (albeit sometimes treacherous) waters of the Brazilian Portuguese language. So whatever your drive may be - a job offer, an upcoming move to Brazil, a Brazilian that makes your heart beat faster, and everything in between - drop me a line and tell me your story. It´ll be the beginning of an unforgettable learning experience.
