About Laia

I am a student graduated in Humanities (2012-2017, UPF) and I am currently finishing a master’s degree in training of teachers of Spanish as a foreign language, at the UB. I have been teaching as a private spanish teacher during this few years and I also have teach in some language institutes in Osijek (Croatia), Barcelona (Spain) and this next course... in Leeds (UK). About the lesson

I'm interested in the communicative education; I believe that language is a social tool to create bridges between cultures and the best way to learn a new language is to learn to express ourselves naturally. I believe that the practice of cognitive work and the use of games in the classroom (plus group work: even if it is only with the teacher) are the bases to learn to feel comfortable with the new language. I like to teach from literature (reading) and cinema (audivisuals, etc.).

Isaac is an amazing student. Always motivated and always willing to learn and ready to ask for interesting grammar doubts. His level in both languages: Catalan and Spanish, is really impressive but still he is always ready to perfectionate his knowledge. I am really happy to our linguistic discussions during our conversation classes. Thank you! :D
