About Amalia
I have rowed to a national level for seven years both in the junior and women's squads at my club.
I have two years work of experience coxing and coaching beginners crews of all ages both in the junior and senior squads. My rowers have developed on to winning competitions and competing at national and district levels.
I can offer both theory, water based and land based training focusing on technique, fitness and race strategy in order to help develop athletes from complete novice level to confident competitors.
I can teach both sculling and sweep rowing.

My approach is to start with off water training, focusing on achieving good technique and base skill levels on rowing machines before transferring the skills into the boat. I will provide thorough feedback both during the session and after in order to allow the rower to get a good understanding of how their can improve and the benefits that their training will provide to their speed. I can also provide advice on training to do between sessions, recommend good cross training for applicable to rowing and I can coach circuit sessions specific to developing fitness, strength and flexibility specific to the sport.
