About Pian

I’m a native Mandarin speaker with over ten years of experience teaching Chinese to learners of all ages, from young children to adults. I’ve lived abroad for more than 20 years and have been based in the UK for the past decade. I specialise in preparing students for the SQA National 5 and Higher Mandarin exams, and I’m passionate about helping each learner build confidence in speaking, reading, writing, and listening. Lessons are engaging, supportive, and tailored to your goals — whether for exams, travel, or personal interest. I can teach in Mandarin, English, or Spanish, depending on your needs.

About the lesson

My Mandarin lessons are dynamic, interactive, and focused on real-life communication. Whether you're preparing for exams or learning for fun, I tailor each session to your goals and learning style. We’ll practise speaking, listening, reading, and writing through engaging activities, role-plays, cultural topics, and practical vocabulary you can use right away. Every lesson is designed to build confidence and fluency step by step.
