I want to encourage the student to engage with topics that interest them and create a safe space to express their imagination! I want to be someone they can depend on when english class seems overwhelming and stressful. I also believe in positive reinforcement and thoughtful feedback to help you succeed!

Based on my own personal experiences, I have designed my curriculum to prepare elementary students for academic writing. I believe reading and writing is one of the most important skills, as many programs require essay structures and word heavy chapters. As someone with ADHD, I have learned the best ways to navigate assignments and get in the writing zone! I am looking to teach elementary school level reading and writing. I want to encourage the student to apply texts to real world examples and draw connections from their own lives. My lessons are discussion based, as I want the student to feel comfortable to ask questions and express their ideas. I also teach efficient tips for note taking, as identifying important sentences is a crucial reading skill. I am also passionate about creative writing such as poems and stories. My main goals are to boost the child's confidence in themselves and prepare them for future grades.
