With over six years of teaching experience, I have taught hundreds of students. My enjoyable, efficient, and innovative classes are loved by my students. My extensive teaching experience includes HSK Chinese teaching, daily/business Chinese, IB/A-level Chinese, mainland Chinese language teaching, translation teaching, and more.
HSK: I hold an International Chinese Teacher Certificate issued by the HSK Examination Organizers (Center for Language Education and Cooperation). I am an official HSK teacher with four years of experience. I can provide comprehensive, professional, and engaging HSK instruction from beginner to advanced levels, helping you prepare for exams or meet university/graduate admission requirements.
Daily/Business Chinese: Using a thematic teaching method, I divide daily Chinese into 26 topics, such as “Travel Chinese” and “Transportation Chinese,” to meet your needs in everyday language use. Additionally, for those working in China or whose work language is Chinese, I offer business-related topics like “Contract Negotiation” and “Workplace Introductions.”
IB/A-Level Chinese: I hold an IB DP Chinese teaching certificate and am familiar with IB learning objectives and exam content, with three years of IB Chinese teaching experience. I have taught PYP/MYP/DP students and am well-versed in the exam goals of these three learning stages. With rich materials and past papers, I can help students improve their Chinese proficiency and IB scores. I also have one year of A-Level teaching experience.
Mainland Chinese Language: I have a mainland high school Chinese teaching certificate and one year of experience teaching in mainland middle and high schools. For overseas Chinese students, I provided three years of Chinese literacy and instruction at Confucius Institute, helping them keep up with mainland students and achieve a high level of Chinese proficiency, while also learning more about Chinese culture.
Other: I have a solid understanding of Chinese grammar and can help with Chinese translation exam preparation and early childhood Chinese literacy. I have a Mandarin proficiency level of Grade 2, Class A, and can assist with Mandarin speaking practice.
My classes follow the “scaffolding” principle, where I help students build a knowledge framework and gradually reduce support, enabling them to become independent learners. I also use “task-based” and “inquiry-based” learning approaches, incorporating fun classroom activities and engaging content to help students learn Chinese effortlessly.
I promise, in my classes, you’ll feel like time flies and leave with a wealth of knowledge!
