About Laura
I have taught every grade from preschool to eighth grade. It has been wonderful to teach these grades to get to know each level of development and see the progression of reading instruction from the beginning of a child’s school career to eighth grade. I currently teach reading to junior high students. My students make one to three years of reading progress every year.

I have been teaching for twenty years and understand that reading has many components to master before a student becomes a fluent reader.
My lessons are hands-on, and I use scientific research based teaching strategies for all students to become fluent readers.
