My name is Laila, and I am currently studying law and criminology at UWE. I look forward to supporting your learning with my previous experiences, such as tutoring subjects like A-levels and GCSEs, and am keen to teach higher levels, such as undergraduates. I hold well-based knowledge and understanding of education, as I am currently teaching my sibling on the side for her preparations for GCSEs. Whether you’re seeking GCSEs, A-levels, or a bachelor's degree (law or criminology) or need guidance to achieve your academic goals, I am here to help every step of the way. I am not only keen to bring my professional skills but also my passion to mentor and teach other students who need support through their academic journey, as I understand how frustrating it is sometimes not receiving the right support from academics. My tutoring approach is personalised, student-centred, and friendly. I'd always want my students to learn in their best ways, as everyone learns differently, using engaging exercises and providing feedback to track the process. Lessons last 1 hour, with adjustments as needed. My experiences include tutoring A-level Spanish, GCSEs, and other GCSE subjects, including A-levels. I gained experience as a peer-assisted learning (PAL) leader, where I run sessions for first-year students at the university, and currently volunteer with Bristol Refugee Rights, where I work with asylum seekers. I teach students of various levels, from secondary school to university, with a focus on the language fluency of academic subjects like maths.
