Hi, my name is Christina. I'm a professional cellist and I teach in Manchester (Levenshulme). The last 20 years I have developed a lot of experience teaching children and adults at all levels.

About Christina

I did my Bachelor's and Master's degree at the conservatoire in Amsterdam. That's also when I started giving cello lessons. The last 20 years I have developed a lot of experience teaching children and adults (5-78 years old) at all levels. I value continuous professional development and am learning new methods and strategies that enhance my teaching style. I have a working knowledge of the grade system and like the way it encourages learners and tracks their progress.

About the lesson

My aim as a teacher is to support every student in his or her own dream. Whether it is playing in an orchestra, with friends, to learn how to make a beautiful sound or to learn to play your favourite piece.... It's up to you! I have a working knowledge of the grade system and like the way it encourages learners and tracks their progress. During my lessons I often use pieces for 2 cellos. It's more fun to play together. And you can do it right from the beginning! All age groups are welcome. It's never too late to start playing the cello!

Perfect! I have had 2 lessons with Christina on the cello so far. I find her an excellent teacher and very personable as well. I have completely enjoyed the first two lessons and already benefitted. It is of special benefit to me that she cares a lot about techniques that allows for comfortable success in playing long term.
