About Jishnu

Namaste, Jishnu here. I'm very passionate about teaching and sharing the richness of the Sanskrit language and the Indian Knowledge System (Bharatiya Jnana Parampara). My journey in Sanskrit is built on a strong foundation from esteemed institutions, and I am committed to making this beautiful language accessible to everyone. My expertise comes from a blend of traditional knowledge and modern application, thanks to my association with organizations like Samskrita Bharati, Agastya Gurukulam, Central Sanskrit University, Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Ramakrishna Mission, Bhashini, AI for Bharat, e-Bharatisampat, Sarasvatam & Anuvadini, the Department of Indian Knowledge System(under the Ministry of Education), etc. I am also actively involved in research, which keeps my knowledge current and well-rounded. My goal is to serve as a guide on your learning journey, helping you discover the joy of Sanskrit. I am always happy to help, so please feel free to reach out anytime to begin your exploration of Sanskrit. And especially, you will get a simple mentor who finds joy and has an understanding personality.

About the lesson

My Approach to Teaching Spoken Sanskrit As a teacher, my primary goal is to make Sanskrit accessible and practical, focusing on its use as a spoken language. My methodology is rooted in the traditional teaching styles of the Ramakrishna Math and the academic rigor of the Central Sanskrit University, allowing me to bridge the gap between classical knowledge and modern application. My classes are designed to be interactive and learner-centric.
Warm-up and Revision: We begin by reviewing concepts from the previous class to ensure a solid foundation.
New Content: I introduce new vocabulary, grammar rules, and conversational patterns.
Practice and Application: Students actively participate in dialogues, sentence construction, and pronunciation drills to immediately apply what they've learned.
Q&A and Clarification: I dedicate time for questions to address any doubts and ensure complete understanding.

The unique background allows me to offer more than just language instruction. I can also teach significant texts such as:
Laghusiddhanta Kaumudi: A foundational text for Sanskrit grammar.
Bhagavad Gita and Ramayana: Classes focused on understanding these philosophical and epic texts in their original language.
The classes are intended for a wide range of students, from primary school children(CBSE/ICSE/State etc.) to college-level(Vyakaranam, Sahityam, Nyayam, Vedantam, General etc.) students and adults.
All classes are conducted exclusively online. Students are responsible for procuring their own textbooks and maintaining diligent notes to support their learning journey.
