I’ve known Slimane for several years now, both as a friend and as a fellow creative. Over time, I’ve seen not only how talented he is as a musician and conductor, but also how genuinely invested he is in the people he teaches.

What really makes Slimane stand out as a tutor is the way he balances high standards with a very human approach. He adapts easily to each student’s level and personality, and he knows how to challenge them without ever discouraging them. He doesn’t just focus on technique, he helps his students understand the feeling and meaning behind the music, which makes a huge difference. Espacially during concerts.

One moment that really stayed with me was watching him lead a rehearsal with his orchestra. The way he communicates is clear and respectful. You can actually see the musicians more focused, more confident, more connected. And what’s remarkable is that he brings a great sense of humor into the process. He knows how to lighten the mood at just the right moment, which makes rehearsals both productive and genuinely enjoyable.

Slimane is not only a skilled musician and conductor, but also someone who truly cares about his students’ growth. I’m convinced that anyone learning with him will improve technically while also gaining confidence. (and they’ll probably have a lot of laughs along the way too!)

Slim is a great teacher, who is really patient and attentive: he knows just what you need to unlock your issues and improve quickly! He has identified my needs in music theory so that I would not struggle, as I wanted to improve my music reading for my cello lessons. He is really knowledgeable but was able to adapt for a beginner level, and that is not so easy to find in a teacher.
