About Xander

I am a rising sophomore in Jazz and Contemporary Improvisation (JCI) at the University of Michigan. Having lived in the Metro-Detroit area my entire life, I have been in and around the scene here since middle school. I started playing woodwinds 8 years ago, and am now working on growing my professional music career.

About the lesson

I am chill and thoughtful, with flexible expectations and an individual approach to teaching. While every student comes in having a different knowledge base, I focus on scales, repertoire, improvisation, transcription, sound development, and more. Everyone is welcome in my studio! I am your guide to lead you down the path you want to pursue.
