About Jake
In terms of professionalism, I am currently a guitar student at LMU. I have been playing guitar for over ten years in bands ranging from indie, rock, blues, singer songwriter duos, and jazz bands. I have experience teaching some friends and family, but look forward to teaching more students through this website. What you could expect to learn from me is anything ranging from your favorite songs, a good foundation to get started if you are a beginner, and for the intermediate advanced players improvisation, songwriting, and music theory.

My journey learning guitar was through a lot of different methods ranging from youtube, private lessons, paid courses, etc. Through many hours spent and finding the most efficient ways of learning for me, I have found the best ways to develop a good foundation and develop the tools to start creating your own music from the influences you love. My specialties would be in blues, rock, and acoustic guitar, but have knowledge in classical and jazz with my studies in college. What sets my teaching apart is the wide range of information I have learned whether you're a beginner wanting to learn the basics, or intermediate advanced players wanting to learn more about improvisation, songwriting, music theory, etc. Guitar is a lifelong journey that will always be in your life and I look forward to unlocking your creativity and passion for the instrument!
