About Clara

My name is Clara Hurtado, I am currently studying a music performance postgraduate course at Kingston University. In 2017 I took part on The Voice U.k. and got through to the live shows. I am passionate about music and enjoy working with others. I am willing to teach anyone, no matter their experience in singing, as I believe singing is something everyone can enjoy. Though private tutoring is a slightly new route for me, I am confident in my musical and social abilities. I want to teach all that I have learned, and more, and have lots of fun in the process. I am happy to work with both adults and children of all ages.

About the lesson

During my degree, I have researched and learned about all aspects of performance such as performance anxiety and the psychological and physical benefits singing can bring. I intend to teach vocal and performance techniques in a relaxed yet proactive manner. I will be covering aspects such as breathing techniques, posture, facial resonance, and everything in between. A lot of my teaching will be based on the teachings of Janice Chapman.
Overall, I want the student to enjoy singing and gain confidence, whilst having fun and making a friend along the way.

My rates vary according to the level of my student. I will teach children aged 10 or bellow at £20/hr. My rates and travel costs are not fixed, I am flexible and open to offers.
