About Niah

I’m a Manchester-based music producer, sound engineer, and creative educator with over 10 years of experience in music technology, performance, and artist development. I hold a degree in Creative Music Technology and have worked across studios, live events, and community education projects.

Alongside teaching, I work as a recording engineer and producer, supporting artists across multiple genres, from hip hop and electronic to live bands and fusion and experimental projects. I’ve also led music technology programmes for young people and emerging creatives, helping them build confidence and real-world skills.

I’m passionate about helping people understand how music and sound actually works, developing intuition, independence, creativity, and create a sound that personal to them. I believe anyone can learn with the right support and structure.

Outside of music, I’m also a visual artist and run my own up-cycled clothing brand, which keeps my creativity grounded in hands-on, independent culture.

About the lesson

My lessons are practical, creative, and built around you.

Whether you're a complete beginner, a young musician, or an artist developing your sound, sessions are tailored to your goals and experience level. We can cover music fundamentals, songwriting, rap development, guitar or piano skills, Ableton, beat making, sampling, recording techniques, and finishing tracks to a professional standard.

I focus on hands-on learning. Rather than just explaining theory, we create music together, building confidence, understanding core concepts properly, and developing your unique style.

Lessons can be structured and progressive, or project-based if you’re working towards a specific goal (a track, EP, performance, or portfolio). My aim is to give you real skills you can use independently.
