Christopher Mitchell is a composer and countertenor who studied with composer Philip Cashian and baritone Alex Ashworth at the Royal Academy of Music for four years. Once a chorister and choral scholar at Lincoln Cathedral, Christopher has sung with many ensembles including Sansara, the National Portrait Gallery Choir, Laycock Scholars and St Martin’s Voices. I can teach piano, theory, singing, composition and aural skills.
I can teach all ages and abilities.
No matter what I teach I try and encompass a mix of different skills so that the student gets a rounded lesson. I am patient and have no problem explaining things in multiple different ways so the student has 100% understood. I also like to make my students recall back to me what i've told them so it reaffirms their knowledge and gives them confidence.
