About Adam
I'm a music and songwriting graduate with a passion for music theory and composition. I began my musical journey over a decade ago when I started taking piano lessons. Since then, as well as improving my piano playing ability, I have spent countless hours learning music theory concepts, composition techniques, orchestration and arrangement. I have experience writing music for music production companies, as well as with working with bands and artists, both as a performer and a songwriter.

My aim is to demystify music theory and show how it can be used as a fun, essential and super helpful tool for creating music. My lessons are perfect for beginners to intermediate students. For the beginner student, I can teach you essentials such as notation, key/time signatures, scales, intervals, rhythms, chord progressions and how you can apply these in a practical and effective way when making music. I can also prepare you for ABRSM music theory exams up to grade 5. For the intermediate student, I can teach more advanced music theory concepts such as orchestration/arrangement, modal writing, four-part harmony and voice leading.
