About Leseli

My approach is structured but personalised: I first identify what the learner understands, where their gaps are and what they need to achieve, then build lessons around those priorities.

What makes my tutoring different is that I do not view Mathematics as an isolated subject. If a learner needs further academic support, I also provide full academic, multi-subject support in my expertise, including English, Accounting, Geography and Biology/Life Sciences. Ideal for parents who prefer having one reliable tutor who understands their child’s overall academic situation rather than having to coordinate several different tutors.

I support learners with homework, assignments, projects, research tasks, exam preparation, study planning and other academic requirements where my subject expertise applies.

About the lesson

My Mathematics lessons are structured around the learner’s current syllabus, academic level and individual areas of difficulty.

A typical lesson may include:
• Explaining difficult concepts in a clear, step-by-step manner
• Identifying & correcting foundational gaps
• Working through examples before independent practice
• Homework and schoolwork support
• Test & examination preparation | Past-paper & exam-questions
• Problem-solving and mathematical reasoning
• Revision and consolidation of previously covered work
• Assistance with projects, assignments and other relevant academic tasks
• Helping them understand why a method works, recognise patterns and the ability to solve similar problems

My Multi-subject Mathematics tutoring rates depend on the learner’s grade, lesson format and requirements.

Online lessons: • From approximately R200-R250 per hour for Grade 8 - Matric Mathematics tutoring.
*Grade 5-7 should not be doing online lessons for math*
In-person lessons: • From approximately R180-R350 per hour for Grade 5 - Matric Mathematics tutoring. Rates vary according to grade, lesson duration and travel requirements.

Requiring ongoing support? I am happy to discuss a suitable recurring lesson & financially flexible structure, based on the learner’s needs and parents financial situation rather than simply booking isolated lessons “to save money”.
